Swiss Airlines

The Swiss Airlines is famous airline service in Switzerland. The Swiss Airlines is one the part in Lufthansa Group. This is having 74 aircrafts serves nearly 70 destinations around the world from Geneva, Basel and Zurich hub airports. In 74 aircrafts 53 for short and medium haul flights and remaining 21 for long. It plays a big role in Switzerland's airline market. People feel happy they are at home flying with Swiss. It maintains the good services like Swiss hospitality and Personal care. In 2007, the Swiss Airlines expands it's services in 42 countries over 70 destinations. In 70 destinations, 27 are international and other 43 are in Europe.

Swiss contains different kinds of aircrafts:

  • Airbus A330
  • Airbus A340
  • Airbus A319, A320 and A321
  • Avro RJ 85/100

The Airbus A330 and A340 for long distances and other aircrafts models are A319, A320 and A321for shorter distances. The Star Alliance is the network partner of Swiss Airlines. In 1st April 2006, Swiss combined with Star Alliance. After the combination of these two groups it provides network services of airports. The Codeshare joins with Swiss and the 22 codeshare partners are producing efficient network route for customers. The special requirements are available for different kinds of categories.

At the end of year 2005-06, Swiss and Lufthansa airlines extended network of services and products. The Swiss also collaborates with large number of tourism and travel industries. Summary
Swiss Air were great - until we missed the first leg of a flight and were charged full fare to get back on the flights we were originally booked on. Highway robbery! Needless to say we will never fly Swiss again..

Swiss Airline flights are the cheap and has excellent customer service. I found Swiss to offer a real good business class product. There was a vegetarian option of saffron noodles with grilled courgettes and aubergines. The food was very spicy to eat and drinks were offered at free cost..
