The San Antonio International Airport is a commercial airport in San Antonio, Texas. It is the second largest city in Texas and is the seventh most populous city in the United States. The San Antonio Airport has three runways, and it covers around 2,600 acres. Its elevation is 809 feet above sea level, and is the class C airport. San Antonio is the county seat of Bexar County. It covers over 400 square miles on the northern edge of the South Texas region of the State, and the southern edge of the Central Texas region. It has influences of both the American South and Southwest.

This airport is located in north central San Antonio, approximately eight miles from Downtown. The seating capacity was up by eight percent in 2005 and breaking the previous record. The airport is currently undergoing a major, multi-million dollar expansion project which will add new terminals and parking facilities.

By Road: There is taxi service available from the airport. San Antonio's official airport shuttle provider, SATRANS, offers regular scheduled shuttle service from the San Antonio International Airport to the downtown hotels, there is also a city bus service.
