    Summary
My reservation details are as follows: Conf.#DQUA4W, Flight# EK603 Jan 8th, 2008. Route-Karachi, Dubai, London, Orlando. And I'd like to comment on probably THE worst travel experience of my entire life. And this was a recurrence of a similar episode I endured thanks to Emirates in July 2001. I am surprised for not being contacted or acknowledged in any form. Especially since I was asked for my contact details (ph#, e-mail address) by the ground staff in charge at Karachi airport and promised that I will be contacted by an Emirates employee from New York. Despite their reassurances, I have heard from no one. I had purchased my ticket in Karachi, paying a full NINE THOUSAND ruppees extra to travel on this specific day & time. The reason for purchasing the expensive ticket was to make my business meeting at a specific time which was the only appointment available to me all month. Now, because of being denied boarding my scheduled - and fully paid - flight, I miss my appointment and have as yet been unable to reschedule. This has backed up my other business arrangements. Had I chosen to travel later, the same trip would have been cheaper, but since I had to be in certain places at certain times, it was an expense I was willing to undertake. It was a price I was willing to pay you to get me where you promised, when you promised. I had picked the route according to my plans & requirements, and arrived at Karachi airport a full three hours ahead of flight time. Imagine my surprise at being told that you were oversold, I was being bumped and that I can cool my heels till the next flight which doesn't leave till THE NEXT DAY! Had I been a tourist being given an extra day in a vacation paradise, this would not be an issue, but I had commitments I had to keep. Your staff put me on Lufthansa flight#LH858 to get me out of Karachi, and my hellish journey began. Not only could I not meet any of my appointments along my planned route, I was trapped in one of the most archaic vehicles polluting our skies today. No respite was available in form of in flight entertainment either, as the planes lacked even a headphones jack! Availability of halal food is one of the main reason Emirates is my preferred airline. Adding injury to insult, there was nothing edible on the entire trip I sustained. The final insult was arriving in Orlando, long after my scheduled arrangement to be picked up at the airport, and hours after having missed my business appointment, and - you guessed it - lost luggage! It is ridiculous that you sell seats you don't have. I paid you cash for something you promised me, and when it's time to deliver, you come up empty? If it were real estate, could you sell land that did not exist? That you did not even own? The unscrupulousness of your business practices and lack of conscience is not my concern, I am offended and outraged at the inconvenience and disservice that I experienced. I demand restitution for the blatant disregard with which I was treated and recompensation for the aggravation I suffered. Please advise me what steps I need to take to ensure this happens in a timely manner. Thank you. Delete Reply .

The planes are modern and clean, the flight attendants, especially the Aussies are lovely, the food and service are good, and the in flight facilities, with their in seat TVs and telephones make me look forward to my Emirates flight weeks in advance.I recommend Emirates without reservations to anybody traveling in the Middle East. .

Air travel is becoming increasingly commonplace in the modern world. I had a very good impression of Emirates based on my own experiences where I had seen Punctuality, very clean aircraft and Courteous staff. The in flight entertainment was the best bit though as there were many games to play, even multi player ones from seat-to-seat, and the latest movies showed on the movies channel..

Their planes are nearly new, and equipped with the latest in flight entertainment systems, and their cabin crew is generally young and enthusiastic, well trained..
