Delta Airlines

The Delta Airlines, Inc. is a major airline of United States with its headquarters in Atlanta. The Delta Airlines, Inc was founded in 1924 in Macon, Georgia by several partners as Huff Daland and moved it to Monroe In 1928, it was purchased by C.E. Woolman. Then it was renamed as Delta Air Service by the name of Mississippi Delta. Here its route were connected Dallas to Jackson in Mississippi, via Shreveport and Monroe. By 1934, it started its mail service from Charleston to Fort Worth via Columbia, Atlanta, Birmingham, Augusta and Meridian.

In 1941, it shifted its headquarters from Monroe to Atlanta, to easily operate its new route network which extended to Chicago, Miami, and New Orleans. Now there are nine regional airlines including Atlantic Southeast Airlines and American Eagle are also operating under this. Delta has its primary hubs in Salt Lake City International Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. It has secondary hubs in Los Angeles International Airport.

Delta covers an expansive domestic and international network, serving Asia, North America, South America, Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. In Asia and Middle East it serves Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Tel Aviv international airports. In North America Delta operates its international flights to Vancouver, Toronto, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico City, Acapulco, Jalisco, Cancun and major airports of US. In South America it serves Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Colombia, Guayaquil, Quito and Caracas. In Europe and Caribbean it covers most of the major international airports.

Delta Airlines are America's fastest growing international air transporter with more than 60 new international routes added in the year 2006.They serves flights to 479 destinations in 105 countries on Delta Airlines, Delta Shuttle, the Delta Connection aircrafts. Delta Airlines has the largest route network footprint in the world and is the only major American carrier that has destinations in Africa.

Summary
I traveled on delta for the past few years. Delta Airlines is one of the better ones in my opinion. The flights are usually on time and the workers are usually nice enough. The pilots are experienced and know how to land without making the plane bounce. I fly this airline all the time. Over all this airline is all right..

I have only taken a few flights, however, in the past I have been on Delta Airlines, and in the future will only fly Delta. The other airlines I have traveled upon, have not been nearly the curtious, as Delta, as well as the most professional. Delta is the most comfortable and spacious airlines that i have ever been on.
